Group 2 Presentation Reflection

In our speech class we spoke about how COVID 19 has affected family dynamics, education and mental health. We discussed about the differences pre-COVID and the impact it has now made to society. One of the biggest impacts was on college students and how their mental health was greatly affected during these times. Over 185 countries and resulted in the closure of over 90 percent of all schools, colleges and universities impacting close to 1.38 billion students. This was was a very informative and important topic because it is an issue that impacted us and continues to impact us day by day, especially students who are already overwhelmed in being on virtual classes because it affects the way these students learn and has no comparison with face-to-face classes, this year has been one of the hardest years for me and my family because of all the changes we had on top of the pandemic. The impact it has also made to teachers to transfer and find new ways to ensure their students are progressi...

Our class had very interesting topics. We talked about  how Covid 19 affected students' education and how it affected us and how Teachers in Daycares, Schools, colleges and universities had to adapt to be online.   And how it  affects us  Mentally,   Physically, and Financially.    and it still does. I think that my group did a really good job presenting  all the topics  and our group Jess does a really good job as a group leader. She's always there when we need her or need help . I also liked all the research we did and our slides in the powerpoint.  I also enjoyed watching all of the other presentations from the rest of the class. The other topics were Racism ,  Pandemic/ Health Care background. I really liked the group I am in. We all get along really well other. And are always there to help each other and always there for each other.

Group 2 Reflection

Our presentation was about how COVID-19 affected students' education, how parents were impacted, how it affected them mentally, physically, and financially, and how students and teachers have had to adapt to the new system. By the end of March 2020, the pandemic had spread to over 185 countries and resulted in the closure of over 90 percent of all schools, colleges and universities impacting close to 1.38 billion students. I think it was a very interesting and important topic because it is something that impacted us and continues to affect us day by day, especially students who are already tired of seeing virtual classes because it has no comparison with face-to-face classes, it has been a very difficult year for all of us and we try to see the positive side of the situation. The speed of the spread of the pandemic, the closure of higher education institutions and the transition to online teaching was so swift that it hardly gave any time to plan and to reflect on the potential r...

March 25, 2021.     Daniela Leon  On the Speech class me and my group were assigned to presented about “How Covid-19 affected the education”. On this presentation we talked about how was education pre covid, and how it was affected with the impact of this virus. We also introduce a brief explanation of why college student’s mental health gets worse due to the pandemic and the radical transformation from in-person to online teaching. Some of my classmates talked about how jobs were extremely affected and with this personal lives of thousands of employees too. The drastic change of full-time job to part-t...

Group 2 Education Presentation     My group did a pretty good job overall, everyone did their part perfectly and everyone's presentation was good. The whole group worked pretty well in finding relevant and valid information for their slides, the only part id change is the overuse of videos; our presentation could've been more memorable and impactful if we relied a little less on the videos and spoke more facts but that's a little bit on my end, I told the group it was ok to add a video to fill in for some time if needed. But over all my group did a great job explaining our topic which was about how Covid has affected education. We all spoke about how it affected the students in school, the parents and how having the children learn from home has affected the family dynamic, and how it has affected the school board itself and what measures they're taking to prevent the virus from spreading.
The presentation that we did was about the pandemic and how it affected the school system and how the students had to deal with this crazy transition that were living though. The presentation had really hit home with me like im pretty it sure it did with most of my group cause we are experiencing it  together. The idea that we are talking about how dealing with are new school life while actaually living though it at the same time was kind of strange for me. We are living though a historical moment that has changed are lives forever. This moment that the whole world is living had made me feel like the presentation would connect with the class in a way we can all agree is bad but i feel like you can say that with all the other groups presentation as well. My group leader jess had helped us find something to wright about because are group was not sure what are topic should be, but all of the group really came together to give us what each team should right about. It had helped a...

Reflections

Hi everyone! I’m so happy and excited to be a part of this class. It was not an easy decision to return to university after 30 years. I’m finding it rewarding thanks to professors and students as such in this class. Professor Sinkoff has done a great job of engaging us in class, through the textbook and amongst each other. This class project was a reflection of that effort.  She allowed certain individuals to ascertain leadership roles, of their own will and had them divide us into 3 groups. Once the groups were finalized we begun the team work. The project consisted of each team member putting a power point together regarding the content  assigned. The team leaders were communicative, organized, and helpful. It was a great start to a class I was apprehensive about taking. The presentations took place over three class periods allowing each student to speak and explain their power points about the topics assigned. I enjoyed listening while watching the slides my classmate...
